Hi! I’m Ariadna, the woman behind VIRAGO. After giving it a lot of thought, I decided to name this section “MEET ME.”
And although VIRAGO is me, this beautiful story is something we weave together: you and I.
My story may not have the sparkle that’s sometimes expected, or follow the standards of the spectacular, but it’s my reality—unfiltered—and I’m so happy to share it with you.
The Unexpected Beginning
VIRAGO came into my life at a time that seemed perfect. However, not long after starting, the thought of abandoning this personal project crossed my mind more than once.
Why those doubts?
I was pregnant with Iu when the opportunity arose to take the reins of VIRAGO.
Its philosophy won me over, and the prospect of having something of my own became a challenge as ambitious as it was exciting.
Although my academic background is in Criminology, with a specialization in Victimology and Juvenile Delinquency—a field very far from fashion and design—I have always felt a deep passion for fashion and for finding pieces that make me feel unique and, above all, myself.
Juggling Two 'Babies'
Suddenly, I had two “babies”: Iu and VIRAGO.
My life turned upside down, from calm to constant chaos, with a lot of self-imposed pressure, overwhelming exhaustion, and the feeling that I couldn’t keep up with everything.
Fortunately, your orders and messages became a guiding light that showed me I was on the right path. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in VIRAGO and in me (because even from afar, I felt you were very close).
The first year was very demanding. I knew I wanted to have Iu by my side full-time until he started preschool, and that’s exactly what I did. He came everywhere with me: to the workshop, on fabric hunts, to in-person meetings, and he was even present in all the video calls.
In short, he became VIRAGO’s little boss, setting his own pace—and therefore mine too.
THE DEFINING PUSH
When Iu started preschool, everything changed: I was finally able to dedicate 100% of my energy to VIRAGO.
It fills me with joy to know that this project I’m so passionate about excites you too. I love preparing each order with care and attention to detail, and you can’t imagine how happy I feel every time I receive a thank-you message.
Truly, you are the best clients I could ever wish for.

The word Virago defines a woman with extraordinary, heroic qualities; she needs no introduction—her energy is felt the moment she walks in.
We believe fashion is not just clothing: it’s identity, it’s attitude, it’s a movement.
That’s why we design NOT SO BASIC pieces: T-shirts and sweatshirts with empowering messages, and spectacular jeans that enhance the female figure, available in versions with feathers, studs, or timeless essentials.
Each piece is made in Spain, with high-quality materials and sustainable processes, because we believe in fashion that is both beautiful and responsible.

Our Journey Together
Our story speaks of challenges, growth, and trust; of starting a business while being a mom, of listening to one’s own instinct, of surrounding ourselves with people who uplift us, and of letting go of what doesn’t serve us.
Since then, we’ve lived through successes but also failures—because that’s what life is about.
Every day I fight and give my all to keep writing this story together.
Not even in my wildest dreams could I have imagined something as beautiful and special as VIRAGO. I feel an indescribable synergy with all of you.
